Let me tell you a little bit about myself...

I grew up outside of what used to be a small town in Maryland. I spent my days enjoying life in the country; swimming in the creek, wandering the woods and the fields, and daydreaming. At night, I went to foreign, fantastic places through the books I read; Tolkien, Heinlein, just about any science fiction or fantasy. I listened to rock and roll music and worked as a volunteer with all the other tree-hugging teenage hippies at the first recycling center in our area, before it was cool. I have been adopted by two Native American families and travelled the powwow circuit for a while. Because of all of this, I tend to lean toward nature-based themes and delve into the fantastic now and again. I have held many jobs over the years; shoveled poop at a horse farm, been a chef, an executive secretary, insect positioner, worked in a production greenhouse, and a nuclear power plant. One thing that has always been in the back of mind, however, is art. I love to create! I have a quirky sense of humor and lean toward realistic-looking designs even in the fantasy category. I have a down-home-simple attitude that is inspired by nature and spirituality. I am an amateur photographer. I love taking pictures. I take pictures of everything and use them in my work.

It is inescapable that you are a product of your environment, the sum total of all of your life experiences. It will affect everything you do... especially your art.
